Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Basarab Mitruț took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind California's goalkeeper Octavian Ţopescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Octavian Ţopescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Mitruț, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Răzvan Ailenei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Firea having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Nicolae Grămescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Super Buni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolae Grămescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 18 minutes, Dorel Alupulesei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the California and the FC Super Buni players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Gică Săvulescu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Grămescu in the 27th minute of play forced California's goalkeeper Octavian Ţopescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Super Buni's Panait Toacsen got a free kick in the 28th minute. Răzvan Ailenei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Super Buni's Eduard Firea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gică Săvulescu in the 33rd minute of play. Răzvan Ailenei took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eduard Firea. Eduard Firea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Eduard Firea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Săvulescu in the 38th minute of play. Basarab Mitruț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Mitruț in the 46th minute of play forced California's goalkeeper Octavian Ţopescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolae Grămescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Octavian Ţopescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gică Săvulescu to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Gică Săvulescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eduard Firea. FC Super Buni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gică Săvulescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Basarab Mitruț fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Ţopescu having to interfere. If Gică Săvulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Răzvan Ailenei in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduard Firea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eduard Firea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Răzvan Ailenei in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Super Buni booed when California was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergiu Furdui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolae Grămescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gică Săvulescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Ailenei in the 88th minute of play forced FC Super Buni's goalkeeper Eduard Firea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Gică Săvulescu sped through FC Super Buni's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eduard Firea. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Super Buni's goalkeeper Eduard Firea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 97 minutes into the game, California's Gică Săvulescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduard Firea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. California's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
