Eduard Firea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sorin Purcărete in the 13th minute of the match. In the 18th minute of the match Dan Budulea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduard Firea skillfully saved the ball. Eduard Firea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mugur Mardare went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Fabian Drumeș made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Nicolae Grămescu sent off a good shot on target. Augustin Carp hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolae Grămescu got free with Fabian Drumeș in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute, Nicolae Grămescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Super Buni's Eduard Firea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Mardare in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, FC Super Buni's Basarab Mitruț sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Drumeș narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eduard Firea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sorin Purcărete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mugur Mardare made a kick off. Fabian Drumeș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Mitruț, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When Robert Pavelescu fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Super Buni's protests and gave Robert Pavelescu a yellow card for diving instead. Robert Pavelescu kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. FC Super Buni's Eduard Firea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save FC Super Buni from getting a goal against them. When Sorin Purcărete came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the AC Timisoara BTV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sorin Purcărete couldn't finish the play. If Nicolae Grămescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC Super Buni's Daniel Popoacă got a free kick in the 78th minute. FC Super Buni's Daniel Popoacă suffered a concussion in the 95th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Augustin Carp fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Timisoara BTV's protests and gave Augustin Carp a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Super Buni booed when AC Timisoara BTV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Carp didn't get a good kick on the ball.
