With an all-out effort, Arsenal's Vali Manu threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sebastian Blajovici, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 6 minutes into the game, Pasarei CF's George Horia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dacian Măguran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Dacian Măguran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Horia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Eric Mugur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dacian Măguran was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 19th minute of the match, Panait Petrin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vali Manu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Maxim Lechințan came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Arsenal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxim Lechințan couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Petrulean came free, but Dacian Măguran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Pasarei CF's goalkeeper Vali Manu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maxim Lechințan. Maxim Lechințan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Vali Manu made a huge save. In the 29th minute, Octav Hojbota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 35 in the game by Maxim Lechințan from a close distance when the talented Vali Manu managed to make a qualified save. Pasarei CF's players were relieved. In the 36th minute, Arsenal's Sebastian Blajovici dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Panait Petrin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vali Manu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Narcis Albeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Alex Dragota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Dragota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vali Manu was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Sebastian Blajovici capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sebastian Blajovici really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Constantin Mîțu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Constantin Mîțu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Măguran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Pasarei CF booed when Arsenal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Blajovici didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Arsenal's Dacian Măguran got control of the ball when George Horia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute of the match, Constantin Mîțu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dacian Măguran saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Vali Manu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Fința, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Maxim Lechințan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Panait Petrin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
