Spectators: 7439 (Terracing: 5617, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 100) Constantin Mîțu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 6th minute, Emanuel Popic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pasarei CF's Dorel Căliman couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Garbou. After 11 played minutes, Pasarei CF's Narcis Albeanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marian Neaga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pasarei CF reached it. Adrian Povară received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Vali Manu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Mihail Chivulescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Vali Manu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 18 minutes into the match, Garbou's goal looked a bit too open when George Horia came free, but Marian Neaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garbou's Marian Neaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantin Mîțu in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Pasarei CF got a corner. Garbou's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dorel Căliman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Adrian Povară might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vali Manu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrian Povară ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32nd minute, one of Garbou:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Garbou. In the 39th minute, George Horia made a precise shot to the right of Marian Neaga. Garbou's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The Garbou fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Garbou's Mihail Chivulescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The audience thought a goal was coming when George Horia got free with Marian Neaga in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Pasarei CF's Narcis Albeanu got a free kick in the 56th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Garbou's zone, Constantin Mîțu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marian Neaga came out of the goal and Constantin Mîțu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute, Garbou's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after George Horia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 73 minutes into the game, Constantin Mîțu lined in a short shot 2-3 behind a frustrated Marian Neaga. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Constantin Mîțu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Adrian Povară had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garbou's Marian Neaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Garbou from getting a goal against them. If Mihail Chivulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pasarei CF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
