The player immediately received a yellow card. Corneliu Carabulea hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Flavius Encea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Bălășescu in the 7th minute of the match. Anton Bălășescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Șerban Moțoc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irinel Ivănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corneliu Stolniciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Cosoreanu having to interfere. Tiberiu Vulcan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavius Encea having to make a save. In the 30th minute Corneliu Stolniciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Cosoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Irinel Ivănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Valer Cosoreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Irinel Ivănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Irinel Ivănescu had to leave the field with a concussion. After 37 minutes, Aristide Surugiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Folklorika and the FC Castelldefels players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Folklorika fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Corneliu Carabulea was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. If Șerban Moțoc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Folklorika's Anton Bălășescu got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anton Bălășescu to make the kick off. Șerban Moțoc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Șerban Moțoc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Anton Bălășescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Flavius Encea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Șerban Moțoc in the 58th minute of play. Șerban Moțoc took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavius Encea. Flavius Encea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Șerban Moțoc managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Folklorika's supporters rose to their feet, but Șerban Moțoc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavius Encea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the match, FC Folklorika's Anton Bălășescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavius Encea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC Castelldefels's zone, Anton Bălășescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavius Encea came out of the goal and Anton Bălășescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Șerban Moțoc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavius Encea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Șerban Moțoc's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavius Encea was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Șerban Moțoc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
