An unexpectedly hard shot by Sorin Boia in the 4th minute of play forced MARUSSI TEAM's goalkeeper Cazimir Şneapotă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Sorin Boia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cazimir Şneapotă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Frunzisul's goalkeeper Călin Piț had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Liviu Nuțu. Călin Piț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandu Axinte, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Sorin Boia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cazimir Şneapotă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. When Sorin Boia came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Frunzisul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sorin Boia couldn't finish the play. Octavian Calboreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavian Calboreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cazimir Şneapotă having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sorin Boia to strike the kick off in the second half. If Octavian Calboreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frunzisul's Călin Piț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Nuțu in the 54th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Octavian Calboreanu took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Cazimir Şneapotă to make any attempt to save it. In the 63rd minute, Sorin Boia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in MARUSSI TEAM's zone, Octavian Calboreanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cazimir Şneapotă came out of the goal and Octavian Calboreanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the match, MARUSSI TEAM's goalkeeper Cazimir Şneapotă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sorin Boia. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Octavian Calboreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frunzisul's supporters rose to their feet, but Octavian Calboreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cazimir Şneapotă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Sorin Boia could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Cazimir Şneapotă however easily saved by the left post. After some careless play in the Frunzisul defense, Anton Cobâlcescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Călin Piț. The Frunzisul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Călin Piț should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd match minute, MARUSSI TEAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Stelea to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Videanu during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th minute, one of MARUSSI TEAM:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MARUSSI TEAM. MARUSSI TEAM:s Cazimir Şneapotă showed great skill when he stopped Adrian Baican:s penalty. Frunzisul's Sorin Boia got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
