Maxim Enciulescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iordache Ciorogaru in the 32nd minute. Dorel Novăceanu kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Berestii's Mădălin Buta got a free kick in the 38th minute. Corneliu Filipașcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iordache Cârstoiu in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Emanuel Bianu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maxim Enciulescu. The goal made the score 1-0. Berestii's Sever Elenescu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dorel Novăceanu in the 45 minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iordache Ciorogaru was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Iordache Ciorogaru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berestii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iordache Ciorogaru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iordache Cârstoiu struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Corneliu Filipașcu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neaua. Dorel Novăceanu got a throw-in 63 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Dinu Ispas. Martin Datcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Denis Ţirpescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Iordache Ciorogaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iordache Cârstoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dorel Novăceanu got a throw-in 78 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Dinu Ispas. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Martin Datcu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Neaua's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Datcu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Corneliu Filipașcu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute, Leontin Alamaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinu Ispas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leontin Alamaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Corneliu Filipașcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute Iordache Ciorogaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxim Enciulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Berestii players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
