Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Zgaroesti's Edgar Praporgescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Augustin Chihaia hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Moise Căplescu came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Zgaroesti's Ilie Zdrelea. But to his dismay, Ilie Zdrelea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Zgaroesti's Laurențiu Patrichi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Moise Căplescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Marcel Codreanu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Zgaroesti's Nicolae Petrin. Nicolae Petrin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgar Praporgescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Edgar Praporgescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zgaroesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gelu CS the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Codreanu in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolae Petrin saved Zgaroesti from getting behind. Marcu Romoşan hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. When Zgaroesti's Edgar Praporgescu in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gelu CS's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Gelu CS's Cazimir Pușcariu got a free kick in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgar Praporgescu in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moise Căplescu saved Gelu CS from getting behind. Zgaroesti's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Viorel Hurmuzache in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilie Zdrelea in the 40th minute of play forced Gelu CS's goalkeeper Moise Căplescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zgaroesti's Laurențiu Patrichi got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Nicolae Petrin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Codreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moise Căplescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Praporgescu in the 55th minute. Marcel Codreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolae Petrin having to interfere. Moise Căplescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Smarandache in the 65th minute of the match. When Mădălin Zmărăndescu fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zgaroesti's protests and gave Mădălin Zmărăndescu a yellow card for diving instead. Mădălin Zmărăndescu hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Marcu Romoşan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gelu CS's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcu Romoşan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolae Petrin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicolae Petrin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Codreanu in the 76th minute of the match. Laurențiu Patrichi hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Emanuel Vulpescu hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Moise Căplescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Praporgescu in the 89th minute of play. The Gelu CS support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
