In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ciochiuta's goalkeeper Ferdinand Cârstoiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 11th minute of the match FC Matei got a corner. Ciochiuta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristi Ştefănoiu ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Panait Tudorică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Matei's Panait Tudorică got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Matei's Edgar Balaci got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurel Pop during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ciochiuta's Aurel Pop got a free kick in the 25th minute. Cristi Ştefănoiu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ferdinand Cârstoiu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panait Tudorică in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferdinand Cârstoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cătălin Balint had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Panait Tudorică shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Cârstoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdinand Cârstoiu was a little too slow when Panait Tudorică got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cătălin Balint made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panait Tudorică in the 52nd minute of play forced Ciochiuta's goalkeeper Ferdinand Cârstoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Ciochiuta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Barna to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ciochiuta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristi Ştefănoiu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Matei's players had a chance to rest. Cristi Ştefănoiu made a great header on FC Matei's corner, it was just that Ciochiuta's Ferdinand Cârstoiu managed to reach the ball for a save. Ferdinand Cârstoiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Panait Tudorică went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. But to his dismay, Edgar Balaci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Codrin Tastaman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Augustin Vişan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Matei's Codrin Pencu got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 83rdth minute of the game Panait Tudorică who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciochiuta's Ferdinand Cârstoiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nae Chirtoacă kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Balaci in the 96th minute of play forced Ciochiuta's goalkeeper Ferdinand Cârstoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
