Gică Tufescu started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Oaia Becaliana's Gică Tufescu got a free kick in the 4th minute. FC Oaia Becaliana's Claudiu Zbanţ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Bobeanu in the 7th minute of play. Claudiu Zbanţ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codruț Dragomir in the 8th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Gabriel Aldulea took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Stelian Anisie to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice moves Gică Tufescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Stelian Anisie however easily saved by the left post. After 18 played minutes FC Oaia Becaliana got a freekick which was hit by Martin Abrudan. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Oaia Becaliana! Doru Vătavu walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 34 minutes into the match, FC Oaia Becaliana's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Durbac came free, but Claudiu Zbanţ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidiu Feteanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stelian Anisie having to make a save. Claudiu Zbanţ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Dragomir in the 44th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Codruț Dragomir to make the kick off. Aurel Bobeanu came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Claudiu Zbanţ could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurel Bobeanu got free with Claudiu Zbanţ in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stelian Anisie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Tufescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Cristian Durbac was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
