In the 4thth minute of the game Panait Tudorică who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but -MZE- FC Bals's Cristian Măndica was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Matei's Edgar Balaci got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Panait Tudorică sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandu Barbăroșie kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Matei's Augustin Vişan got control of the ball when Petru Hulubei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dacian Baniciu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Edgar Balaci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Măndica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Edgar Oblemenco sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Matei's Augustin Vişan didn't even have to move. Codrin Pencu's late challenge caught a -MZE- FC Bals's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Codrin Pencu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of -MZE- FC Bals booed when FC Matei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Pencu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Măndica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Balaci in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panait Tudorică in the 41st minute of play forced -MZE- FC Bals's goalkeeper Cristian Măndica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Măndica stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panait Tudorică's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Cristian Măndica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Balaci, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Balaci got free with Cristian Măndica in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mihail Siclovan's late challenge caught a FC Matei's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihail Siclovan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute, one of -MZE- FC Bals:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for -MZE- FC Bals. The goalkeeper, Cristian Măndica, was totally fooled by FC Matei's Cristi Ştefănoiu, who 61 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Panait Tudorică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augustin Vişan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Petru Hulubei went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Panait Tudorică took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristian Măndica. Cristian Măndica dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Cristian Măndica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panait Tudorică, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After 79 minutes, Dacian Baniciu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Matei and the -MZE- FC Bals players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Matei getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Dacian Baniciu hit a great ball. Panait Tudorică recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Codrin Pencu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 89 played minutes -MZE- FC Bals got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Sinulescu. 91 minutes into the match, -MZE- FC Bals's goal looked a bit too open when Panait Tudorică came free, but Cristian Măndica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Codrin Pencu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 94 minutes, Șerban Mateescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. -MZE- FC Bals's supporters crossed their fingers, but Șerban Mateescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Măndica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panait Tudorică in the 97th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Panait Tudorică managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Matei's supporters rose to their feet, but Panait Tudorică was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Măndica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Matei were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
