Stelian Anisie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stelian Anisie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Tudorică, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dragugesti's Stelian Anisie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Dragugesti from getting a goal against them. Augustin Vişan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Bobeanu in the 24th minute of play. Codruț Dragomir's late challenge caught a FC Matei's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of FC Matei booed when Dragugesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Durbac didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Panait Tudorică came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the FC Matei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panait Tudorică couldn't finish the play. After 70 minutes, Damian Calomfirescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dragugesti and the FC Matei players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 95 played minutes FC Matei got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Baniciu. The audience was convinced that Codruț Dragomir's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augustin Vişan was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Matei had won after a very even match.
