Spectators: 7591 (Terracing: 5694, Seating: 1746, VIP seats: 151) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Panait Tudorică got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the match, FC Matei's Panait Tudorică sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Șerban Tăbăcaru narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 7 minutes, Edgar Balaci made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. UFC Sanovita's Șerban Tăbăcaru tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th minute, Alex Mantoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgar Balaci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the game, Edgar Balaci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Șerban Tăbăcaru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Șerban Tăbăcaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Tudorică, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edgar Balaci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the UFC Sanovita defense, Panait Tudorică kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Șerban Tăbăcaru. The UFC Sanovita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Șerban Tăbăcaru should have stopped the shot. FC Matei's Edgar Balaci got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 minutes, Codrin Pencu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Matei and the UFC Sanovita players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Matei's Codrin Pencu got a free kick in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, UFC Sanovita's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Balaci came free, but Șerban Tăbăcaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aristide Răducanu during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Balaci in the 43rd minute of play forced UFC Sanovita's goalkeeper Șerban Tăbăcaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, UFC Sanovita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionel Guguianu to maneuver through the defense. The UFC Sanovita players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Matei were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusebiu Novăceanu to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Eusebiu Novăceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustin Vişan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panait Tudorică sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panait Tudorică in the 59th minute of play forced UFC Sanovita's goalkeeper Șerban Tăbăcaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augustin Vişan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebiu Novăceanu in the 63rd minute of the match. Alex Mantoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augustin Vişan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebiu Novăceanu's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Edgar Balaci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Șerban Tăbăcaru having to interfere. When Panait Tudorică came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the FC Matei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panait Tudorică couldn't finish the play. 83 minutes into the match, Panait Tudorică dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Șerban Tăbăcaru, 1-4. If Codrin Pencu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Panait Tudorică left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Matei fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. When the match was over FC Matei could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than UFC Sanovita throughout the match.
