Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Panait Tudorică kicked off to start the match. Edgar Balaci took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Șerban Ababei. Șerban Ababei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Farmecul Vietii 1923's goal looked a bit too open when Panait Tudorică came free, but Șerban Ababei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Panait Tudorică put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Șerban Ababei. Emanuel Hurmuzescu kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Edgar Balaci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute, Panait Tudorică left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Matei fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Emilian Romulus struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Augustin Vişan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Farmecul Vietii 1923. Șerban Ababei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Balaci, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Dacian Baniciu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Emanuel Hurmuzescu hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Edgar Balaci might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Șerban Ababei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Balaci ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half FC Matei were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilian Romulus to make the kick off. Emilian Romulus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Farmecul Vietii 1923's Șerban Ababei got control of the ball when Cazimir Dumitrachescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute Ştefan Văleanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustin Vişan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Hurmuzescu hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Farmecul Vietii 1923's Cătălin Alecu was substituted for Rareș Trapcea. Augustin Vişan came out of the goal and Dragoş Moculescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augustin Vişan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cazimir Aplugăriței, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilian Romulus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustin Vişan having to interfere. Farmecul Vietii 1923's Dragoş Moculescu got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th match minute, FC Matei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panait Tudorică to maneuver through the defense. Farmecul Vietii 1923 made a substitution. Nistor Șişman replaced Ştefan Văleanu. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Edgar Balaci sped through Farmecul Vietii 1923's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Șerban Ababei. A collision led to FC Matei getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Octavian Schipor hit a great ball. If Dragoş Moculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The FC Matei supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Matei would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
