An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebiu Novăceanu in the 18th minute of play forced Ciocoveni AS's goalkeeper Călin Groza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alex Mantoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute Adrian Platon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Șerban Tăbăcaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrian Platon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Șerban Tăbăcaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrei Croitoru struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Șerban Tăbăcaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciocoveni AS. Șerban Tăbăcaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Platon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Adrian Platon kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebiu Novăceanu in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Călin Groza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ciocoveni AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabin Petre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Andrei Croitoru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Șerban Tăbăcaru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andrei Croitoru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrei Croitoru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Șerban Tăbăcaru having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Ciocoveni AS's Adrian Platon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Șerban Tăbăcaru narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Șerban Tăbăcaru didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 86th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. The UFC Sanovita fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ciocoveni AS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
