Iurie Bistreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 7 minutes into the game, Albert Ghețea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sumugiu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dream Team Titan the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Sumugiu's zone, Paul Oneț stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Vrabie came out of the goal and Paul Oneț tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Dream Team Titan booed when Sumugiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Ghețea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iurie Bistreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Albert Vrabie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paul Oneț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Iurie Bistreanu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Albert Vrabie, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Iurie Bistreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dream Team Titan's supporters rose to their feet, but Iurie Bistreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Vrabie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Corneliu Andriescu came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Sumugiu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corneliu Andriescu couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute, Paul Oneț ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albert Vrabie was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iurie Bistreanu to make the kick off. Sumugiu's Albert Vrabie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iurie Bistreanu in the 52nd minute of play. Iurie Bistreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vasile Cernescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Albert Vrabie. Sumugiu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Sumugiu getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Albert Ghețea hit a great ball. Iurie Bistreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Vrabie having to interfere. If Albert Ghețea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul Oneț struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Albert Vrabie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dream Team Titan. Sumugiu's Marcu Horea got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sumugiu's Sergiu Filimon shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 77th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Matei Baicea but with some difficulty. 81 minutes into the game, Dream Team Titan's Iurie Bistreanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albert Vrabie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Sumugiu's zone, Paul Oneț stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Vrabie came out of the goal and Paul Oneț tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Iurie Bistreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, Iurie Bistreanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Albert Vrabie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the match, Marcu Horea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matei Baicea. Dream Team Titan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcu Horea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. There was no doubt that Dream Team Titan were the better team. Dream Team Titan's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
