Șerban Rotariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Hârciog in the 13th minute of play. Codruț Turcan's late challenge caught a Habic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Codruț Turcan helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Biltaci CSM got a freekick which was hit by Codruț Turcan. Habic's Vali Radu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Biltaci CSM. Ion Alexiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Marcel Bărboianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alin Neguțu might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel Bărboianu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alin Neguțu ran back to his position shaking his head. Ion Alexiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Alin Neguțu put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marcel Bărboianu. After 58 minutes, Mircea Joja mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Biltaci CSM and the Habic players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 played minutes Biltaci CSM got a freekick which was hit by Mircea Joja. Vali Radu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcel Bărboianu. Biltaci CSM's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alin Neguțu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Habic's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
