The Steaua FCSB fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Steaua FCSB's Sergiu Pelin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In a very dangerous position, a player in Doctors Who Run fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! If Sergiu Pelin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mircea Bărbătescu took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Maghiar. Gabriel Maghiar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Silviu Smarandache kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Gabriel Maghiar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sergiu Pelin went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Gabriel Maghiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergiu Pelin in the 40th minute of the match. Sergiu Pelin hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Sergiu Pelin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Gabriel Maghiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Mircea Bărbătescu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 70th minute Matei Muraru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costică Diaconescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costică Diaconescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matei Muraru in the 71st minute of play. Matei Muraru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Costică Diaconescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Mircea Bărbătescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steaua FCSB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mircea Bărbătescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mircea Bărbătescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Gabriel Maghiar made a huge save. Costică Diaconescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Leahu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd match minute, Steaua FCSB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinu Tecău to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Steaua FCSB's Felix Spiridon got a free kick in the 85th minute. Silviu Smarandache kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Mircea Bărbătescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sergiu Pelin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Nicodim Badea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Doctors Who Run's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steaua FCSB the free kick. Nicodim Badea kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Valentin Mangra was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Sergiu Pelin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Maghiar having to interfere. The Doctors Who Run fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Steaua FCSB were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
