After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Matei Muraru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doctors Who Run's supporters rose to their feet, but Matei Muraru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Vrabie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sumugiu's Albert Vrabie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Sumugiu from getting a goal against them. Matei Muraru hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Marcu Horea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gabriel Maghiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Doctors Who Run's goal looked a bit too open when Marcu Horea came free, but Gabriel Maghiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes Doctors Who Run got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Badea. After having played for 29 minutes, Corneliu Andriescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sumugiu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corneliu Andriescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Corneliu Andriescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gabriel Maghiar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Matei Muraru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, Matei Muraru recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Albert Vrabie. Matei Muraru showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 45th minute Matei Muraru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Vrabie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Sumugiu booed when Doctors Who Run was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicodim Badea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Maghiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Andriescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 55th minute, Nicodim Badea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tudor Doicaru charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tudor Doicaru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Albert Leahu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Vrabie having to interfere. Gabriel Maghiar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcu Horea in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Albert Leahu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albert Vrabie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matei Muraru, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Doctors Who Run's zone, Corneliu Andriescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Maghiar came out of the goal and Corneliu Andriescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mugurel Frențiu got free with Gabriel Maghiar in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albert Vrabie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Leahu in the 91st minute of play. Matei Muraru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Albert Vrabie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
