Traian Tărbac yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Stelian Jdeica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cotofene's supporters rose to their feet, but Stelian Jdeica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Traian Tărbac breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nae Maiorescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mihail Cumpanașu in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Traian Tărbac prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stelian Jdeica scored 4-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Traian Tărbac, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sinleani's goalkeeper Traian Tărbac, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute Stelian Jdeica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Traian Tărbac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Mihail Cumpanașu notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Sinleani's Traian Tărbac. Traian Tărbac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Răduța, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cotofene had played much better football throughout.
