Stelian Jdeica might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moise Tolea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stelian Jdeica ran back to his position shaking his head. Dreptul's Denis Zdrenghea got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciprian Zăvoianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Zdrenghea in the 31st minute of play. Cotofene's Ciprian Zăvoianu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Cotofene from getting a goal against them. After having played for 37 minutes, Cosmin Nicorici managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dreptul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cosmin Nicorici was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cotofene's Teodor Ungur got a free kick in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
