Iosif Balaban was a little too slow when Ivan Puiu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 1-0. Traian Tărbac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horaţiu Sfârlea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nae Maiorescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Nae Maiorescu kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Iosif Balaban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Nandriș in the 60th minute of play.
