Spectators: 7471 (Terracing: 5604, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alex Morovan started the match with the kick off. Sinleani's Vali Dinu got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Alex Morovan in the 7th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Traian Tărbac was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Sinleani through an amazing save. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Traian Tărbac successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gheorghe Nandriș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nae Maiorescu in the 14th minute of play forced F.C. Viitorul Iasi's goalkeeper Albert Otopeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nae Maiorescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for F.C. Viitorul Iasi! If Marcu Tremurici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Nae Maiorescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Otopeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gheorghe Nandriș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Marcu Tremurici managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcu Tremurici was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Traian Tărbac breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Traian Tărbac made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Marcu Tremurici sent off a good shot on target. 44 minutes into the match, Sinleani's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Morovan came free, but Traian Tărbac reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nae Maiorescu to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Sinleani's Vali Dinu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Albert Otopeanu. Albert Otopeanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Alex Morovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Traian Tărbac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marcu Tremurici came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the F.C. Viitorul Iasi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcu Tremurici couldn't finish the play. Marcu Tremurici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the game, George Muja was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sinleani the free kick. After a rather tough play, F.C. Viitorul Iasi's George Muja got a free kick in the 68th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Sinleani's Dragoş Cazimir tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Nae Maiorescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to F.C. Viitorul Iasi getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ovidiu Oproiu hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sinleani's zone, Marcu Tremurici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Traian Tărbac came out of the goal and Marcu Tremurici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute Marcu Tremurici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Traian Tărbac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Albert Otopeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Viitorul Iasi from getting a goal against them. The F.C. Viitorul Iasi supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sinleani's performance. The match ended with a win for Sinleani.
