Ilie Lopatnicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Zdrenghea, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Moise Tolea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valer Mitescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 21st minute, but Moise Tolea got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Dreptul hanging dry this time. In the 26th minute, Cosmin Nicorici ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilie Lopatnicu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ilie Lopatnicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosmin Nicorici in the 29th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valer Mitescu got free with Moise Tolea in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sandu Amărculesei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moise Tolea having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Asceții FC got a freekick which was hit by Gheorghe Ştefănică. Denis Zdrenghea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ilie Lopatnicu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gheorghe Ştefănică was shown his second yellow card after 47 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Gheorghe Ştefănică hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Dreptul booed when Asceții FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandu Amărculesei didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Dreptul's Augustin Banu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Doru Suşu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denis Zdrenghea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Lopatnicu having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valer Mitescu in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moise Tolea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victor Plopeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moise Tolea having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Asceții FC's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Zdrenghea came free, but Ilie Lopatnicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moise Tolea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valer Mitescu in the 75th minute of the match. Moise Tolea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valer Mitescu's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Valer Mitescu ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Udrişte during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 played minutes Dreptul got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Udrişte. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Denis Zdrenghea took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Ilie Lopatnicu to make any attempt to save it. In the 97th minute, Valer Mitescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moise Tolea was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
