Viitorul Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidiu Oproiu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Denis Sterescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC RMR's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Sterescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Otopeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute Andrei Tunar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Otopeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th match minute, F.C. Viitorul Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidiu Oproiu to maneuver through the defense. Denis Sterescu made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 26thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Albert Otopeanu would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Ovidiu Bran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Morovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denis Sterescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albert Otopeanu having to make a save. In the 36th minute Alex Morovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Bran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Viitorul Iasi's zone, Andrei Tunar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Otopeanu came out of the goal and Andrei Tunar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albert Otopeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrei Tunar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ovidiu Bran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Morovan in the 44th minute of the match. With a little luck, F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Albert Otopeanu got control of the ball when Denis Sterescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Ovidiu Oproiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC RMR the free kick. Ovidiu Oproiu kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alex Morovan made a kick off. When Marcu Tremurici came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the F.C. Viitorul Iasi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcu Tremurici couldn't finish the play. Andrei Tunar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Albert Otopeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albert Otopeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Sterescu in the 58th minute of play. Ovidiu Bran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Morovan, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. FC RMR's Ovidiu Bran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save FC RMR from getting a goal against them. If Andrei Tunar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of F.C. Viitorul Iasi booed when FC RMR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrei Bârsan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrei Bârsan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC RMR's Denis Sterescu got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcu Tremurici came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ovidiu Bran could save by the left post. In the 78th minute Alex Morovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Bran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrei Tunar struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Albert Otopeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC RMR. If Andrei Tunar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Albert Otopeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrei Tunar in the 91st minute of play. Ovidiu Bran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Morovan, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Andrei Tunar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Otopeanu having to interfere. FC RMR were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
