Remus Văcaru struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Andrei Nistorescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fadimac. After having played for 21 minutes, Aristide Milcoveanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 22 minutes, Lucian Zdrehuş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Universitatea Pitești and the Fadimac players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Universitatea Pitești was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Mihaiu to maneuver through the defense. Iustin Papaiani was a little too slow when Iurie Șipoș got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 31 played minutes, Universitatea Pitești's Gabriel Măndica shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Iustin Papaiani came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Universitatea Pitești reached it. Aristide Milcoveanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iurie Șipoș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iustin Papaiani having to interfere. In the 41st minute Iurie Șipoș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iustin Papaiani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fadimac's Aristide Milcoveanu got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Remus Văcaru made the kick off in the second half. Andrei Nistorescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aristide Milcoveanu in the 55th minute. Aristide Milcoveanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fadimac's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cătălin Ghiță was slow to take the kick. During this time Universitatea Pitești's players had a chance to rest. Iustin Papaiani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Șipoș, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Iurie Șipoș blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iustin Papaiani having to make a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fadimac players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Universitatea Pitești.
