Andrei Nistorescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ion Pârvuță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucian Mihaiu in the 40th minute of the match. Sporting's Ion Pârvuță proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Sporting from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Olaru got free with Ion Pârvuță in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iurie Șipoș stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Voitiş could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Andrei Nistorescu made a huge save. In the 96th minute of the match, Sebastian Voitiş got a very nice opportunity to score, but Andrei Nistorescu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
