Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sebastian Joanță took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toader Apăvăloaie in the 3rd minute of play forced Sporting's goalkeeper Ion Pârvuță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sporting booed when ACS Unirea Curtești was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Joanță didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Sporting's Sebastian Voitiş nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mircea Jecu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Sporting were furious when Horaţiu Negrițoiu was red carded, 7 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Horaţiu Negrițoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Ion Pârvuță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Joanță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes of play, ACS Unirea Curtești's Sebastian Joanță made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ion Pârvuță was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind ACS Unirea Curtești's goalkeeper Mircea Jecu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sporting's Ion Pârvuță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dacian Antohi in the 20th minute of play. After 25 minutes, Sebastian Voitiş made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. ACS Unirea Curtești's Mircea Jecu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Sporting's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Joanță came free, but Ion Pârvuță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sebastian Voitiş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sporting's Ion Pârvuță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dacian Antohi in the 33rd minute of play. Sebastian Voitiş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Mircea Jecu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Voitiş got free with Mircea Jecu in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ion Pârvuță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costin Ozon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ion Pârvuță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toader Apăvăloaie in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dacian Antohi in the 44th minute of play forced Sporting's goalkeeper Ion Pârvuță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Costin Ozon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian Voitiş made a kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Sebastian Voitiş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Voitiş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anton Militaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Jecu having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, ACS Unirea Curtești was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Gârneț to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Sporting's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Ozon came free, but Ion Pârvuță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Toader Apăvăloaie reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ion Pârvuță. The goal made the score 2-2. 75 minutes into the match, Sebastian Voitiş had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mircea Jecu. ACS Unirea Curtești's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Voitiş was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 82nd minute, Iulian Udrescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the game, Sebastian Voitiş cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Mircea Jecu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sebastian Voitiş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toader Apăvăloaie got free with Ion Pârvuță in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the ACS Unirea Curtești players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sporting.
