Spectators: 6700 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Remus Văcaru kicked off to start the match. After 10 played minutes Fadimac got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Barbă. In the 11th minute of the match Ion Băbescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iustin Papaiani skillfully saved the ball. Ionică Coșeriu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ionică Coșeriu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ciopirteni's supporters rose to their feet, but Ionică Coșeriu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iustin Papaiani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ion Băbescu's late challenge caught a Fadimac's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ion Băbescu helped the player get up and apologised. Ion Băbescu hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Petru Hreapcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionică Coșeriu in the 36th minute of play forced Fadimac's goalkeeper Iustin Papaiani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iustin Papaiani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Coșeriu in the 41st minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcu Andrițoiu got free with Iustin Papaiani in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Fadimac booed when Ciopirteni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nistor Bacanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Fadimac's Ferdinand Stolojan got a free kick in the 60th minute. Iustin Papaiani was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Ion Băbescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ion Băbescu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Iustin Papaiani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ionică Coșeriu's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Nistor Bacanu kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 70thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Fadimac's keeper Iustin Papaiani was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. If Nistor Bacanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nistor Bacanu came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Ciopirteni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nistor Bacanu couldn't finish the play. Ciopirteni's Ionică Coșeriu got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Nistor Bacanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iustin Papaiani was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 84th minute, Petru Hreapcă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the game, one of Fadimac:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for Ciopirteni. Ion Băbescu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iustin Papaiani. 0-3. Ciopirteni's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
