Virgil Irimia started the match with the kick off. Pablo Izar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Nichita having to interfere. Valer Nichita was a little too slow when Pablo Izar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. Virgil Irimia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nichifor Negură sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pablo Izar struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Valer Nichita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BlackSquad. Gigel Aalexoaiei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgil Irimia in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Irimia in the 22nd minute of play forced BlackSquad's goalkeeper Gigel Aalexoaiei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, BlackSquad's goal looked a bit too open when Dinu Blăniță came free, but Gigel Aalexoaiei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valer Nichita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gigi Ştefănescu in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ashburton Grove's zone, Alin Huștiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valer Nichita came out of the goal and Alin Huștiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. BlackSquad's Gigel Aalexoaiei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgil Irimia in the 40th minute of play. Dinu Blăniță scored 3-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gigel Aalexoaiei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nichifor Negură made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ashburton Grove's goalkeeper Valer Nichita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 52 minutes into the game, Iacob Bunescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ashburton Grove's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BlackSquad the free kick. Iacob Bunescu hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Nichifor Negură received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Valer Nichita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nichifor Negură had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 59 minutes of play Ashburton Grove's Iacob Bunescu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of BlackSquad booed when Ashburton Grove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iacob Bunescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ashburton Grove's zone, Nichifor Negură stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valer Nichita came out of the goal and Nichifor Negură tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the match, Nichifor Negură had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valer Nichita. Ashburton Grove's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nichifor Negură was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Valer Nichita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alin Huștiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Irinel Raicu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Gigel Aalexoaiei made a huge save. Valer Nichita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nichifor Negură's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. When BlackSquad's Nichifor Negură in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ashburton Grove's goalie prevented a goal. Valer Nichita didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when BlackSquad's Nichifor Negură shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-1 in the ordered_time% minute.
