The crowd rose to their feet as Docuzaci FC's David Rușanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of George Bălășoiu. That made the score 2-0 after 17 minutes of play. If Grigore Mailat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam Amarandei kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Docuzaci FC's Răzvan Obregia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurențiu Anghelescu in the 28th minute of play. Laurențiu Anghelescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Răzvan Obregia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 minutes of play, AFC Wimbledon's Laurențiu Anghelescu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Docuzaci FC's Răzvan Obregia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurențiu Anghelescu in the 43rd minute of play. Adam Amarandei's late challenge caught a AFC Wimbledon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adam Amarandei helped the player get up and apologised. Adam Amarandei hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laurențiu Anghelescu was the one to do the kick off. If Constantin Uncu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. George Bălășoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Rușanu in the 55th minute of play. Răzvan Obregia didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when AFC Wimbledon's Laurențiu Anghelescu shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After having played for 65 minutes, Laurențiu Anghelescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Wimbledon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurențiu Anghelescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute, one of AFC Wimbledon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AFC Wimbledon. The referee gave Docuzaci FC a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Horea Grozăvescu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AFC Wimbledon's George Bălășoiu. 3-2. George Bălășoiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Grigore Mailat went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, AFC Wimbledon's Costel Cismarescu got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute of the match Horea Grozăvescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Bălășoiu skillfully saved the ball. The Docuzaci FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
