Spectators: 7620 (Terracing: 5716, Seating: 1752, VIP seats: 152) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eduard Şumălan kicked off to start the match. roxoxo's Romeo Ghișerel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Şumălan in the 3rd minute of play. In the 12th minute Sandu Postolache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Ghișerel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zelau's Horia Gruescu got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Zelau booed when roxoxo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Balțoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, roxoxo's Gigel Pantelimon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Sterescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Eugen Dinculescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gigel Pantelimon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Zelau's Nae Tache got a free kick in the 29th minute. Gelu Ştefănuţ struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Daniel Sterescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for roxoxo. In the 40th minute, Sabin Miulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Albert Petrulean came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the roxoxo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Petrulean couldn't finish the play. Daniel Sterescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gigel Pantelimon in the 42nd minute. Daniel Sterescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigel Pantelimon, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gigel Pantelimon to make the kick off. Sandu Postolache could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Romeo Ghișerel made a huge save. Iustinian Savin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Romeo Ghișerel made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Dinculescu in the 55th minute of play forced Zelau's goalkeeper Daniel Sterescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute of the match Aristide Savu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Sterescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Zelau getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Nae Tache hit a great ball. Iustinian Savin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 minutes, Eliodor Stelian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the roxoxo and the Zelau players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, Eliodor Stelian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Sterescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugen Dinculescu went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 75 played minutes Zelau got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Şumălan. Sandu Postolache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Ghișerel having to interfere. Sandu Postolache kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Aristide Savu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gelu Ştefănuţ hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Romeo Ghișerel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Şumălan in the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Gigel Pantelimon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Sterescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Vlad Mihuț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When roxoxo's Gigel Pantelimon in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zelau's goalie prevented a goal. Zelau's Eduard Şumălan got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The roxoxo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zelau had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
