Eric Piţurcă made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Grigore Mailat sent off a good shot on target. Eric Piţurcă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Rușanu in the 5th minute of play. Grigore Mailat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, David Rușanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Docuzaci FC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Rușanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Piţurcă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Rușanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Piţurcă having to interfere. David Rușanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eric Piţurcă having to make a save. 18 minutes into the game, Grigore Sântimbrean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. INTERNATIONALE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Docuzaci FC the free kick. A hard shot by Horea Grozăvescu from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Eric Piţurcă's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 22nd minute of the match Florin Rucăreanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eric Piţurcă skillfully saved the ball. Adam Amarandei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Piţurcă having to interfere. In the 29th minute, David Rușanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 33 played minutes David Rușanu rounded INTERNATIONALE FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Gabriel Ştefănoiu sped through Docuzaci FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Răzvan Obregia. Gabriel Ştefănoiu's late challenge caught a Docuzaci FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Ştefănoiu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, INTERNATIONALE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Ştefănoiu to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Docuzaci FC's Eric Piţurcă threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from David Rușanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Horia Chirilă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

INTERNATIONALE FC's Horia Chirilă got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Răzvan Obregia managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when INTERNATIONALE FC's Gabriel Ştefănoiu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Grigore Mailat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Rușanu in the 80th minute of play forced INTERNATIONALE FC's goalkeeper Eric Piţurcă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Codruț Grama hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. If David Rușanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 99th minute, Grigore Sântimbrean made a precise shot to the right of Răzvan Obregia. Docuzaci FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Docuzaci FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
