Foresta Ceahlau's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Romeo Daraban scored to the left of an out of position Ivan Ştefănică, making the score, 1-0. If Pavel Bacalu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pavel Bacalu came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Foresta Ceahlau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pavel Bacalu couldn't finish the play. Marafet FC's Gigel Nae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marius Reznic in the 24th minute of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Marius Reznic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Foresta Ceahlau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marius Reznic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 26 played minutes Marafet FC got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Pască. The audience was convinced that Pavel Bacalu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gigel Nae was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Gigel Nae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Bacalu in the 39th minute of the match. In the 41stth minute of the game Pavel Bacalu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marafet FC's Gigel Nae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pavel Bacalu in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigel Nae saved Marafet FC from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pavel Bacalu made a kick off. Gigel Nae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Bacalu, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Pavel Bacalu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigel Nae having to interfere. Gigel Nae made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Pavel Bacalu sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pavel Bacalu in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigel Nae saved Marafet FC from getting behind. Filip Coșeriu kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Ivan Ştefănică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Ştati in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Foresta Ceahlau's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Mandache came free, but Ivan Ştefănică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gigel Nae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Bacalu, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 75 played minutes Foresta Ceahlau got a freekick which was hit by Cristinel Rânceanu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Daraban during the 82nd minute. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Marius Reznic fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Foresta Ceahlau's protests and gave Marius Reznic a yellow card for diving instead. Marius Reznic hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Iurie Flamaropol hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Many of Foresta Ceahlau's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Foresta Ceahlau may have spent more time on the ball, but Marafet FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
