In the 19th minute Iurie Flamaropol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicu Teofil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicu Teofil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Bacalu in the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Foresta Ceahlau's Pavel Bacalu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicu Teofil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 30th minute Gică Goiciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Ştefănică saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Ernest Pădure got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivan Ştefănică showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Humă in the 40th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Gică Goiciu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kibed's supporters rose to their feet, but Gică Goiciu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Ştefănică breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Foresta Ceahlau's Ivan Ştefănică got control of the ball when Ernest Pădure tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Radu Humă to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Kibed's Nicu Teofil got control of the ball when Marius Reznic tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Gică Goiciu fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kibed's protests and gave Gică Goiciu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute of the match, Pavel Bacalu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nicu Teofil saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the Foresta Ceahlau defense, Ernest Pădure kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivan Ştefănică. The Foresta Ceahlau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivan Ştefănică should have stopped the shot. Marius Reznic took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicu Teofil. Nicu Teofil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radu Humă in the 79th minute of play forced Foresta Ceahlau's goalkeeper Ivan Ştefănică to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernest Pădure kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Marius Reznic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Ştefănică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Goiciu in the 95th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Foresta Ceahlau's Marius Reznic got a free kick in the 96th minute. Foresta Ceahlau's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
