Spectators: 5500 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cristinel Sorin got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rdth minute of the game Ioan Măcrinici who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cfr cluj's Ionel Postelnicescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Cfr cluj's Cristinel Sorin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Orădan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ionel Postelnicescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ioan Măcrinici in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristinel Sorin in the 15th minute of play forced Ruginosi FC's goalkeeper Felix Orădan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niculae Ciprian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Felix Orădan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Orădan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Sorin in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Ioan Măcrinici left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ruginosi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ioan Măcrinici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Postelnicescu having to interfere. Niculae Ciprian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Felix Orădan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Orădan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Sorin in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ioan Măcrinici to make the kick off. When Doru Nanu came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ruginosi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doru Nanu couldn't finish the play. Felix Orădan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niculae Ciprian in the 63rd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Ruginosi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristinel Sorin came free, but Felix Orădan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, one of Cfr cluj:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Ionel Postelnicescu, was totally fooled by Ruginosi FC's Pavel Amandiței, who 69 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Felix Orădan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristinel Sorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Niculae Ciprian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Felix Orădan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Niculae Ciprian came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Cfr cluj fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niculae Ciprian couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cfr cluj's goalkeeper Ionel Postelnicescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ioan Măcrinici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Postelnicescu having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Leonard Glodeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruginosi FC were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Cfr cluj's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pavel Amandiței took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Doru Nanu drilling the ball in to score 0-4 behind Cfr cluj's goalkeeper.
