Spectators: 7509 (Terracing: 5632, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ionică Hoisie kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute Ionică Hoisie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Voinea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mihnea Vlas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Voinea having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihnea Vlas in the 25th minute of play forced Cotenesti FC's goalkeeper Marcel Voinea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Ştefan Frățilă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maldaeni CSS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cotenesti FC the free kick. In the 32nd minute, Ştefan Frățilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Cotenesti FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Hoisie came free, but Marcel Voinea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosmin Iulian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ştefan Lucaci in the 40th minute of the match. Marcel Voinea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihnea Vlas in the 43rd minute of play. Adrian Glăvan's late challenge caught a Maldaeni CSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Glăvan helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes Cotenesti FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Glăvan. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ştefan Lucaci to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cotenesti FC's zone, Mihnea Vlas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Voinea came out of the goal and Mihnea Vlas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Maldaeni CSS's Avram Bosânceanu got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Gavril Hreapcă charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gavril Hreapcă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had been going on for 68 minutes, Maldaeni CSS's Eugen Lung got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Marcel Voinea. Ion Militaru kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Ionică Hoisie made a precise shot to the right of Marcel Voinea. Cotenesti FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiberiu Trandafir during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcel Voinea came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Maldaeni CSS's Tiberiu Trandafir. But to his dismay, Tiberiu Trandafir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Petre Finteșteanu kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Maldaeni CSS's Ionică Hoisie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcel Voinea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Ionică Hoisie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcel Voinea was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
