Lucian Covaci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Bujor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Cristian's late challenge caught a FC Leresti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Cristian helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Alex Cristian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucian Covaci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Vornicescu in the 15th minute of play. Tudor Bujor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Lucian Covaci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciprian Armanca hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Alex Cristian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Calistrat Mihalcea fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Leresti's protests and gave Calistrat Mihalcea a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Leresti's Calistrat Mihalcea got a free kick in the 27th minute. 1-1 became the score in the 28th minute when Gelu Mareș elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, FC Leresti's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Greavu came free, but Irinel Iordache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Chisirid FCM getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Marcel Popovici hit a great ball. Liviu Moarcăș hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. FC Leresti's Avram Popescu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 39th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Chisirid FCM. In the 41st minute, Tudor Bujor made a precise shot to the right of Lucian Covaci. Chisirid FCM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 45 minutes of play Chisirid FCM's Alex Cristian was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 45 played minutes Chisirid FCM got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cristian. In the 47th minute, Tudor Bujor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucian Covaci was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gelu Mareș was the one to do the kick off. If Manole Vornicescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 64 played minutes Chisirid FCM got a freekick which was hit by Silviu Simuţ. Irinel Iordache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Moarcăș in the 68th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Tudor Bujor managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Leresti's supporters rose to their feet, but Tudor Bujor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucian Covaci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tudor Bujor in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lucian Covaci, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lucian Covaci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Vornicescu in the 78th minute of the match. After having played for 86 minutes, Gelu Mareș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chisirid FCM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gelu Mareș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Avram Baltian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Irinel Iordache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gelu Mareș in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Irinel Iordache prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 95 minutes into the game, Chisirid FCM's Gelu Mareș nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Irinel Iordache made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Leresti walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
