Spectators: 7520 (Terracing: 5641, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marian Greavu started the match with the kick off. Sandu Trişcu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandu Trişcu got free with Lucian Covaci in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Chisirid FCM booed when DRK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Herescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gelu Mareș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Manole Balint tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manole Balint made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelu Mareș in the 14th minute of play. Marian Greavu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucian Covaci didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 24th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. When Sandu Trişcu came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the DRK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandu Trişcu couldn't finish the play. Lucian Covaci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Herescu in the 34th minute of the match. If David Herescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sandu Trişcu struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Lucian Covaci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DRK. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when David Herescu made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Chisirid FCM's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Trişcu came free, but Lucian Covaci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gelu Mareș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manole Balint having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marian Greavu in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manole Balint prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sandu Trişcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Herescu scored 3-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucian Covaci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lucian Covaci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandu Trişcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Marian Greavu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manole Balint. That made the score 3-1 in the 89 minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, DRK's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Greavu came free, but Manole Balint reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 97 minutes, Gelu Mareș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chisirid FCM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gelu Mareș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. DRK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
