An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Bujor in the 20th minute of play forced Golfinul UFC's goalkeeper Stelian Muncelean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tudor Bujor struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Stelian Muncelean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Leresti. 29 minutes into the match, Manole Vornicescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stelian Muncelean. Golfinul UFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manole Vornicescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Alex Agârbiceanu fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Golfinul UFC's protests and gave Alex Agârbiceanu a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 played minutes Golfinul UFC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Agârbiceanu. Irinel Iordache made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristi Grămescu in the 42nd minute. In the 47th play minute Cristi Grămescu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Irinel Iordache. 1-2.

In the 55th minute, Lucian Iureș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Lucian Iureș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Leresti's Irinel Iordache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leontin Zdrobiş in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Manole Vornicescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stelian Muncelean. The goal made the score 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in FC Leresti's zone, Cristi Grămescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irinel Iordache came out of the goal and Cristi Grămescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Golfinul UFC's Stelian Muncelean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manole Vornicescu in the 81st minute of play. Lucian Iureș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Irinel Iordache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute of the match, Manole Vornicescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Stelian Muncelean saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Golfinul UFC's Lucian Iureș got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristi Grămescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Although Golfinul UFC had been in control for most of the match, FC Leresti still came away with the win.
