Irinel Iordache made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Marcu Chițu sent off a good shot on target. FC Leresti's supporters rose to their feet, but Manole Vornicescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurențiu Zdrelea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
