The crowd rose to their feet as Rareș Graur kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marin Urdeş. That made the score 1-1 in the 14 minute of play. The Reschitza fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Reschitza's Stelian Bocaneț looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dacian Cristea was a little too slow when Vali Ţeica got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 2-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stelian Bocaneț got free with Dacian Cristea in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maxim Popârcea was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 70 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of WFL:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Reschitza:s goal. Vali Ţeica walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stelian Bocaneț got free with Dacian Cristea in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute Rareș Graur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marin Urdeş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dacian Cristea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelian Bocaneț, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute, Reschitza's Stelian Bocaneț ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dacian Cristea. Marin Urdeş was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dacian Cristea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stelian Bocaneț in the 94th minute of play. Dacian Cristea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Bocaneț in the 97th minute of the match. Despite being the better team, Reschitza failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
