After having played for 15 minutes, Diego Tristan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc locul targului's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Tristan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Fc locul targului's Jean-Christophe Velasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that George Hăulică narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mohamed Lecordier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Arsache getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Vali Vârnav hit a great ball. In the 21st minute Mohamed Lecordier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Hăulică saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelian Tudose hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. When Doru Filimon fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arsache's protests and gave Doru Filimon a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Arsache got a freekick which was hit by Doru Filimon. Diego Tristan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. George Hăulică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Diego Tristan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelian Tudose recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Doru Filimon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Costache having to interfere. Jean-Christophe Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. George Hăulică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Christophe Velasco in the 44th minute of play. Mohamed Lecordier struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. George Hăulică didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc locul targului.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mohamed Lecordier to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Fc locul targului got a freekick which was hit by Petre Zgabei. Diego Tristan kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Vali Vârnav recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Arsache's zone, Diego Tristan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Hăulică came out of the goal and Diego Tristan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fc locul targului's Mohamed Lecordier got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mohamed Lecordier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jean-Christophe Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurelian Tudose during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aurelian Tudose hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Arsache's goalkeeper George Hăulică had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean-Christophe Velasco. In the 79th minute, Mohamed Lecordier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A beautiful save bye Arsache's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle sounded Fc locul targului left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Arsache.
