If Robert Guriță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mircea Costache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornel Bucurescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. The supporters of Socola FC booed when Fc locul targului was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Aliuta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Socola FC's zone, Jean-Christophe Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manole Curuțiu came out of the goal and Jean-Christophe Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mohamed Lecordier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manole Curuțiu having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Mohamed Lecordier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc locul targului's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohamed Lecordier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jean-Christophe Velasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manole Curuțiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Mohamed Lecordier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manole Curuțiu was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Fc locul targului's Diego Tristan got a free kick in the 21st minute. 31 minutes into the match, Fc locul targului's goalkeeper Mircea Costache had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Guriță. A wasted opportunity for Fc locul targului. Manole Curuțiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Tristan in the 37th minute of the match. Diego Tristan struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Manole Curuțiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc locul targului. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mohamed Lecordier in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manole Curuțiu saved Socola FC from getting behind. Fc locul targului's Jean-Christophe Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cornel Bucurescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mohamed Lecordier had several of the Socola FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 53 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Manole Curuțiu as he didn't even see the shot coming. Mircea Costache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornel Bucurescu in the 57th minute of play. When Diego Tristan came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Fc locul targului fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Tristan couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Lecordier in the 61st minute of play forced Socola FC's goalkeeper Manole Curuțiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Christophe Velasco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Manole Curuțiu made a huge save. Diego Tristan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd match minute, Socola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Cristian to maneuver through the defense. Jean-Christophe Velasco struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Manole Curuțiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc locul targului. Jean-Christophe Velasco was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Fc locul targului's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 85th minute, Diego Tristan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Socola FC's goalkeeper Manole Curuțiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Socola FC's Manole Curuțiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Socola FC from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute, Mohamed Lecordier reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manole Curuțiu. The goal made the score 0-3. Diego Tristan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manole Curuțiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Fc locul targului's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
