After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Horaţiu Berceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. ★Red Dogs★ ABY's supporters rose to their feet, but Horaţiu Berceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Codruț Răduț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Codruț Răduț didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horaţiu Berceanu went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Vasile Rizea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marius Luican blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gelu Bănățeanu having to make a save. In the 19th minute of the match Cristian Calciu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gelu Bănățeanu skillfully saved the ball. Vasile Rizea made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 23rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Gelu Bănățeanu would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Marius Luican recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 29 minutes, Dinu Greblă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ★Red Dogs★ ABY and the UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to ★Red Dogs★ ABY getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Dinu Greblă hit a great ball. A hard shot by Robert Gherdan from long distance, 30 minutes into the match, got Gelu Bănățeanu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Vasile Rizea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vasile Rizea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gelu Bănățeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marius Luican fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelu Bănățeanu having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vasile Rizea in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gelu Bănățeanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 48 played minutes ★Red Dogs★ ABY got a freekick which was hit by Alin Barascu. UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's Robert Gherdan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 49th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ★Red Dogs★ ABY. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teodor Ene to strike the kick off in the second half. If Horaţiu Berceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Codruț Răduț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Ene, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 played minutes ★Red Dogs★ ABY got a freekick which was hit by Alin Barascu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Luican in the 64th minute of play forced ★Red Dogs★ ABY's goalkeeper Gelu Bănățeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Horaţiu Berceanu came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the ★Red Dogs★ ABY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horaţiu Berceanu couldn't finish the play. Vlad Cosariu hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Robert Gherdan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gelu Bănățeanu. ★Red Dogs★ ABY's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 86th minute of the match Ferdinand Dorian sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gelu Bănățeanu skillfully saved the ball. If Vasile Rizea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ★Red Dogs★ ABY's performance. The match ended with a win for ★Red Dogs★ ABY.
