After 18 played minutes Buhai got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Tomescu. If Tudor Nandriș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gelu Bănățeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Costa in the 24th minute of the match. Tudor Nandriș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Gelu Bănățeanu managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Buhai's Augustin Costa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tudor Nandriș who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Gelu Bănățeanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vlad Cosariu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dacian Chirilă. Buhai's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Tudor Nandriș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gelu Bănățeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustin Costa in the 37th minute of play. If Augustin Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind ★Red Dogs★ ABY's goalkeeper Gelu Bănățeanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Nicodim Tomescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodor Ene was the one to do the kick off. Dacian Chirilă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Ene in the 53rd minute of the match.
