Spectators: 7463 (Terracing: 5598, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alexandru Sabău took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Alexandru Sabău managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MVB Buzau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandru Sabău was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doru Ciurea hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, Mircea Holban sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hagilar's Iordache Ţîrlea didn't even have to move. In the 9th minute, Iurie Râznicu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Hagilar's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Sabău came free, but Iordache Ţîrlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eusebiu Damian kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Alexandru Sabău struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Iordache Ţîrlea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MVB Buzau. Sergiu Şunda took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iordache Ţîrlea. Hagilar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mădălin Romaşcanu tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Iordache Ţîrlea. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 18th minute. Eusebiu Damian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Damian Iacobescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergiu Rebengiuc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ionel Cârneci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iordache Ţîrlea having to interfere. Gabriel Mara kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Hagilar's George Gaiță tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Alexandru Sabău had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandru Sabău recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, MVB Buzau's Alexandru Sabău sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iordache Ţîrlea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Sergiu Rebengiuc made the kick off in the second half. Alexandru Sabău blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iordache Ţîrlea having to make a save. Damian Iacobescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergiu Rebengiuc in the 57th minute of play. Damian Iacobescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Rebengiuc, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Iurie Râznicu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iordache Ţîrlea having to interfere. Alexandru Sabău received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Iordache Ţîrlea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Hudiță hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Hagilar's Iordache Ţîrlea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iurie Râznicu in the 69th minute of play. After some careless play in the Hagilar defense, Gabriel Mara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iordache Ţîrlea. The Hagilar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iordache Ţîrlea should have stopped the shot. After 75 played minutes MVB Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Aurel Tiberiu. In the 85th minute Alexandru Sabău shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iordache Ţîrlea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in MVB Buzau's zone, Dinu Beșleaga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Iacobescu came out of the goal and Dinu Beșleaga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iurie Râznicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damian Iacobescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergiu Rebengiuc in the 94th minute of the match. The supporters of Hagilar booed when MVB Buzau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionel Cârneci didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Rebengiuc in the 96th minute of play forced MVB Buzau's goalkeeper Damian Iacobescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MVB Buzau's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
