Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Paul Stejaru took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Basarab Jula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Basarab Jula came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Vagany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basarab Jula couldn't finish the play. When Adrian Miclovan fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fitod's protests and gave Adrian Miclovan a yellow card for diving instead. Adrian Miclovan kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. With a little luck, Vagany's Marius Zăreanu got control of the ball when Tudor Turcan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match, Tudor Turcan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marius Zăreanu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 24th minute Paul Stejaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Zăreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 minutes, Tiberiu Romulus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vagany and the Fitod players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tiberiu Romulus hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Bejenaru got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marius Zăreanu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Nechifor Baldovinescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Jula in the 31st minute of play. Marius Zăreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Stejaru in the 34th minute of the match. Tudor Turcan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vagany's Gabriel Albulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 46 minutes, Paul Stejaru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fitod's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Stejaru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Basarab Jula was the one to do the kick off. Basarab Jula struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Nechifor Baldovinescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vagany. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Albulescu got free with Nechifor Baldovinescu in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vagany's Marius Zăreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Turcan in the 59th minute of play. Gabriel Albulescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nechifor Baldovinescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. If Basarab Jula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Turcan in the 63rd minute of play forced Vagany's goalkeeper Marius Zăreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 65 minutes, Felix Stârcea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fitod and the Vagany players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes Fitod got a freekick which was hit by Felix Stârcea. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Albulescu got free with Nechifor Baldovinescu in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel Albulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Nechifor Baldovinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nechifor Baldovinescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Jula, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Paul Stejaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 84 minutes into the match, Fitod's goalkeeper Nechifor Baldovinescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Albulescu. After having played for 85 minutes, Gabriel Albulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vagany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Albulescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Basarab Jula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fitod's Adrian Miclovan got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Adrian Miclovan off the ground. The supporters of Vagany booed when Fitod was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Miclovan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tudor Turcan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabian Mitescu's late challenge caught a Fitod's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Mitescu helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes Vagany got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Mitescu. The Fitod supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vagany's performance. The match ended with a win for Vagany.
