Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The crowd rose to their feet as FC Dreain Timisoara's Traian Căliman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mugurel Murgoci. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Mugurel Murgoci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marian Tănăsescu in the 10th minute. Irinel Zbârciog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Mugurel Murgoci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Isac Voinescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 17 played minutes FC Dreain Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Marian Tănăsescu. In the 20th minute Irinel Zbârciog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugurel Murgoci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Onișoru came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Calugarita's Isac Voinescu. But to his dismay, Isac Voinescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 29 minutes into the match, FC Dreain Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Frumușanu came free, but Victor Onișoru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, FC Dreain Timisoara's Traian Căliman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Leontin Liciu hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Victor Onișoru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Frumușanu in the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th minute Isac Voinescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Onișoru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isac Voinescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Pavel Frumușanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Victor Onișoru made a huge save. Victor Onișoru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Frumușanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Dreain Timisoara's Leontin Liciu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ovidiu Moldovan, made in the 59th minute of the game. Pavel Frumușanu kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Calugarita's goal looked a bit too open when Traian Căliman came free, but Mugurel Murgoci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, FC Dreain Timisoara's Victor Onișoru got control of the ball when Pavel Frumușanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 73 played minutes FC Dreain Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Marian Tănăsescu. 74 minutes into the match, Pavel Frumușanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Onișoru. FC Dreain Timisoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pavel Frumușanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. A collision led to FC Dreain Timisoara getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Traian Căliman hit a great ball. Marian Tănăsescu's late challenge caught a Calugarita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Tănăsescu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Calugarita booed when FC Dreain Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Tănăsescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Traian Căliman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Calugarita's zone, Traian Căliman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mugurel Murgoci came out of the goal and Traian Căliman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 92nd play minutes Leontin Liciu shot 4-3, a short shot which went by Mugurel Murgoci and just under the crossbar into goal. Calugarita's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
