Spectators: 7455 (Terracing: 5592, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eusebiu Ghițulescu took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Eusebiu Ghițulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Centurion Lions's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebiu Ghițulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petru Diaconu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonard Bara's late challenge caught a Centurion Lions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonard Bara helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th match minute, Avramdancu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Bara to maneuver through the defense. Constantin Şteţ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Petru Diaconu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Constantin Şteţ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Costică Gavruță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radu Plop in the 30th minute of play. When Șerban Crișan fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Centurion Lions's protests and gave Șerban Crișan a yellow card for diving instead. Șerban Crișan hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Horia Iovulescu struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Costică Gavruță didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avramdancu FC. If Eusebiu Ghițulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Costică Bostan came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Centurion Lions fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costică Bostan couldn't finish the play. Eusebiu Ghițulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petru Diaconu having to interfere. In the 47th minute, one of Avramdancu FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Avramdancu FC. After the first half Centurion Lions were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Radu Plop to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Avramdancu FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Pompiliu Mortu hit a great ball. If Eusebiu Ghițulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Centurion Lions's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Avramdancu FC the free kick. Eusebiu Ghițulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Radu Plop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Costică Gavruță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Centurion Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Plop came free, but Costică Gavruță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Centurion Lions's goalkeeper Costică Gavruță, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Petru Diaconu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Şteţ in the 95th minute of the match. Centurion Lions's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
